I bought this book as a required textbook for my nursing classes earning my masters degree in nursing, It is a great educational tool but not something for me for personal use.
I needed the book for school. It reads well.

In my desire to learn about global ethics, I'm not finding this book very helpful. It is a required text for a course I am taking.
I needed this book for a class and was pleasantly suprised how interesting it was. Wong makes it very understandable.

Feminist author includes [SIC] in quotes of Greek and Roman classic writers when they refer to man (as in man kind). One would hope that silly post modernism would not seek to rewrite history and hopefully scholarly student would not need be reminded of the recognition of women's role today. Would Tong seek to refer to ships as He/She or IT instead of the traditional reference of female? And does she interject [SIC] where reference to Mother Earth?Her political views are evident without her explicit comments of her position and make the book a little sophomoric at one level despite here apparent control of the material.The book is a good text and despite my complaint and is scholarly and erudite.
Great book for my class this semester, easy to read and understand the information. I would recommend this book to future students.
